This site is dedicated to the support of the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics. It is arguably one of the top high schools in the country.

Julian C. Stanley , founder of the Harvard Center for Talented Youth described OSSM as “The most rigorous program of its kind in the nation.”

The school was created by the Oklahoma Legislature in 1983 and graduated its first class in 1992.

The mission of the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics is:

1.   To foster the educational development of Oklahoma high school  students who are talented in science and mathematics and show  promise of exceptional development through participation in a residential educational setting emphasizing instruction in science and mathematics.

2.  To develop, evaluate and foster science and mathematics instructional programs.

3.  To serve all schools and students of Oklahoma through research, teacher training and outreach activities.

As of May 31, 2008 a total of 1,024 students have graduated from OSSM.
